How does our pricing work?
Pricing for translation, localisation, proofreading and other textual services is usually calculated by the word, by the page or by the ‘standard page’ for consistency and transparency. Please see below for explanations of all invoicing units.
Payment methods accepted
We are very flexible when it comes to payment and are happy to accept cash, credit and debit cards, bank transfers and online card payments via PayPal.
Translation invoicing units
A word is defined as a character or group of characters separated from another group by a space. It is by far the most common and practical invoicing unit for translations which use computer-assisted translation (CAT). The word count is most often taken from the source text.
A standard page is defined as a page containing 1,800 characters (with spaces). The number of standard pages is most often taken from the target (i.e. translated) text.
A character is defined as any individual letter, number or other symbol in a text, excluding spaces. It is useful as an invoicing unit when a text is heavily numerical or uses acronyms, such as a financial text. The character count is most often taken from the source text.

Interpreting invoicing units
Hourly rate may be applied for interpreting or other time-based linguistic services.
Need an interpreter for a hearing or to accompany a foreign visitor? We charge by the day for all services that take four to eight hours.
Best suited for shorter engagements such as meetings, any services that take up to four hours are charged by the half-day.
